Website activity

We record page visits, referral and campaign information, and actions such as opening chat or starting intake. A random browser identifier connects these events. The website stores a hashed network address and may receive broad location information from our hosting network.

Chat and project requests

Messages and contact details you choose to provide are saved in TheAppGuy’s website and CRM systems so we can answer questions and follow up on your request. The AI assistant uses an AI service hosted on our infrastructure. Please do not send passwords, payment-card numbers or other sensitive information in chat.

On your device

Browser storage remembers your visitor identifier, conversation reference and contact details entered for chat. The intake may save a draft on your device. You can remove these by clearing site data in your browser; this does not delete records already submitted.

Google-connected services

If you choose to connect a Google account through TheAppGuy’s customer portal, we use Google OAuth so you can authorize access without giving TheAppGuy your Google password. Depending on the services you connect, TheAppGuy may access Google Search Console data, Google Analytics reporting data, and Google Business Profile account, location, performance, and management data for the businesses you authorize.

We use this Google data only to provide requested website, SEO, analytics, reporting, optimization, business-profile, support, and customer-update services. We may store Google account identifiers, property or location identifiers, connection status, imported metrics, and encrypted OAuth access or refresh tokens needed to maintain the connection. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to build advertising profiles.

Google-connected information is retained only while needed to provide the connected service, maintain required business records, or resolve support and security issues. You can disconnect access through your Google account permissions, through supported TheAppGuy account controls, or by asking us to remove the connection. A deletion request also covers stored Google-connected account data unless we must retain specific records for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or accounting reasons.

TheAppGuy’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
