What is changing?
Weebly has announced a withdrawal of its services from 67 named countries due to regulatory and operational changes. It says new page publishing stopped June 29, 2026, existing affected sites were scheduled to be unpublished on September 27, 2026, and affected account access continues until December 26, 2026. Websites in Canada, the United States and other countries outside Weebly's published list are not included in this announcement.
Before taking action, check the country's inclusion in Weebly's official announcement and confirm that your own account is affected. If your affected site is already offline, you may still be able to download data and archives from your account until December 26, but this does not guarantee complete recoverability of dynamic content or integrations.
Check the provider's official notice ↗ and any account-specific communications before deciding when to migrate.
Plan the move before the service ends
- Check Weebly's list of 67 affected countries and read any account-specific messages. Do not assume all Weebly accounts are being closed.
- While you still have access, go to Account Settings, then My Data, then Download My Data; also check Website, Edit Site, Settings, Archive for individual sites. Store independent copies of files and exports.
- Inventory pages, images, blog posts, online-store records, contact forms, redirects, analytics, email, custom domains and payment integrations. Test the exports rather than assuming static archives include every database-backed feature.
- Choose suitable replacement website hosting only after confirming features, data portability, payment and privacy needs, traffic, geography, and a written scope or quote.
- Build and test the replacement site, verify links, images, forms and search metadata, then coordinate custom-domain DNS changes and domain transfers only with the owner's approval. Beware of registrar locks and email DNS dependencies.
What we need to assess your server or site
- Current provider and exact service or plan name
- Domain(s), operating system, applications, databases, and background jobs
- CPU, RAM, storage consumption, and typical traffic where applicable
- Recent backup status, recovery requirements, and tolerance for downtime
- DNS, email, firewall, certificate, integration, and IP-dependent dependencies
Independent migration support
TheAppGuy can review the workload and propose a supported destination, a migration scope, and an estimate. Any backup access, copying, test deployment or DNS cutover requires the customer's approval. We confirm compatibility and available capacity before making a commitment.
We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or officially endorsed by Weebly. A migration assessment is not a guarantee that we can accept every workload.
